Featured Story : Takin' Out the Compost 5/11/11
LaNaya Myers of the City of Redmond (who just so happens to sit across from me, so she made an easy target), makes an effort to compost all of her compostables.
Composting food and other scraps reduces the amount of trash headed to the landfill, which reduces green house gas emissions like nitrous oxide. Adding compost to your garden provides great nutrients and reduces the need to water as frequently!
Waste Management offers composting service to all residential and commercial residents in Redmond so you too can add this simple step into your "green routine."
