Featured Story : Making a Difference One Box at a Time 9/14/11
About a year ago my wife and I decided to start getting organic food delivered to us once every other week (One box full of fruits and veggies). It seemed like it may be a little bit more expensive than buying non-organic food at the grocery store, but we thought we would give it a try.
As time went on we realized that it was not only saving us money, but we started eating healthier and trying a lot of new fruits and veggies that we had never tried before. We started trying new recipes and making some new and tasty dishes... umm I am getting hungry just thinking about some of them.
Not only is it convenient and easy, but it is making a huge difference in our eating habits and how much money we spend at the grocery store.
We used to go to the grocery store every week to get our fruit and veggies, and of course every time we went to the store would end up buying a lot more stuff than what we actually had gone to the store for (the ice-cream is on sale, oh must get that, frozen pizza on sale, have to get that too, uhhh chips and salsa sound so good right now, gonna get that too, well.. you get the point).
Now we only go to the store about twice a month so we save on gas and we save money because we don't have as many opportunities to get exposed to tempting stuff.
